I agree with the school. Rules are rules. If you let one girl handle drugs, then you open the door for everyone else to use the same excuse if they are caught. I applaud the school for sticking to their guns. I also think it sends a good message to the ones who are thinking about bringing drugs to school. TYT are “knee jerking” by saying “you cant smell it either”. You have no control over what you smell, but you do on what you touch.
Absolutely, the war on drugs is a war on individual liberties!
If someone can do a drug without harming anyone elses’s life, liberty, or property, then that person has committed no crime.
In fact, if a person is just minding their own business, taking drugs, and some police thugs come into his house and kidnap him and lock him up in cell… They are the ones committing a violent crime!!
@00calvera They can be incredibly harmful. They’re super addictive, can cause major heart problems which can turn out permanent and like most pills, you can overdose on them. Not to mention, they are way to easy to get your hands on, especially in a middle school or high school.
@Freethought42 It’s not a war on drugs it’s a war on personal freedoms.
Pharmaceutical companies are making billions off their HIGHLY addictive synthetic opiates.
even this report here it was about a legal drug that the pharmaceutical companies push on kids that are just a bit hyper…. maybe we should just go back to giving hyper kids frontal lobotomies to calm them down.
ha, she wasn’t suspended for touching or saying no. She had on her bag. She says she said she wouldn’t take and “only” put it on her bag.Like having the answers for the exams handed out, but saying wasn’t going to use and just putting on “her bag”
She had possession, on HER BAG put by herself.
Although I do think these pills don’t harm anyone the story is misleading.
@minorot i agree with that all she did was touch it and gave it back to them saying no these idiots called school officials are being to hard on her for nothing.
Someone should throw a pill on him and then tell him “aww sorry you must be fired now, its school policy, you touched drugs sorryyyy :/” and then they should fire him.
WTF? Why would someone take prescription pills for ADD as drugs? Do they give you a high or what? How about snorting ibuprofen, is it good? Crazy world…
@gzozgo Yes is was a conscious decision, but her subconscious had to kick in before that and think “hey I have heard bad things about drugs over and over again, I should probably say no to taking them”.

More people need to realize this.

@turkishxboi Haha, well….Kind of jittery. Wide Awake. Focused. Hyper. Talkative. Very, very thirsty. That’s basically the feeling.

Wait, they had a seven year old sign a witness statement without a parent present? I’m pretty sure that that’s illegal.

WTF? Why would someone take prescription pills for ADD as drugs? Do they give you a high or what? How about snorting ibuprofen, is it good? Crazy world…
When talking to any kind of authority, always demand to have your layer present. Even if this is in primary school.
