no kids? i can get as drunk as i want.
if they feel it is an unhealthy enviroment for the child and can make a case for it, yes they can take the child away. no child should have to live with an alcoholic though. it is a rough disease to watch. it hurts them to see a mother or father deteriate in front of them.
YES they can. They see living with an alcoholic as a threat to the child and if it gets out to teachers they WILL be put under the state’s custody.
Not where I live.
YES!
An alcoholic is a threat to kids.
NOT ALWAYS. THEY CAN BECOME MORE LIKE PESTS IN YOUR LIVE BECAUSE OF THEM THOUGH.THEY CAN AND WILL TRY TO DETERAMIN IF THEY ARE INDANGER/HARMING THE CHILDREN EMOTIONALLY,PHYSICALY,EMOTIONALLY. BT MOST OF THE TIME THEY ONLY INVESTIGATE IF SOME ONE CALLED IN A PROBLEM THEY WITNESS OR WAS TOLD ABOUT. CPS IS TAKING MORE CASES SERIOUSLY AND INVESTINGATING MORE THROUGHLY THAN EVER BEFORE SINCE THEY HAVE MISSED THE BOAT ON CASES WERE CHILDREN HAV COME UP DEAD.IF YOU THINK YOU NEED TO CONSULT A LAWYER ,DO IT.DONT BACK DOWN.BUT REMEMBER UR LOYOLTY IS ALWAYS TO YOUR KIDS. GOOD LUCK. NOT TO SAY ITS NOT.MY UNCLE DRINKS LIKE CRAZY BUT WOULDNT KILL A FLY.THERE ARE ALL KINDS OF ALCOHOLICS.JUST LIKE THERE ARE ALL KIND OF MOMS.
No, if he is definitely not a threat and no cause for concern. Although I wouldn’t want a child living with an alcoholic father, I would not take them away from a perfectly nice mother and a harmless father who drinks if he did not hurt them. I have a grandfather who drinks and is perfectly nice when he is not drinking, and never hurts us or gets at all violent when he does (in fact, he has always stayed away from his kids/grankids when he does, I would never see him drunk and never have to.) My mother and aunt are well-adjusted, successful women who have the highest regard of him.
If he does become a threat however, then the services have full reason to.
Best wishes, best hopes for a peaceful and well-adjusted family.
If they could, I would have been taken away from my parents. My mother drinks like a fish starting at breakfast.
