yes. stop doing them. eat right. exercise. wear sunscreen.
YES, drugs make you look older, and trashy. It would be a wise idea to kick your weekend habit now before it becomes your everyday habit. Just look online at what drugs do to people. Don’t be so stupid.
If you do to excess for a few years you will look a wreck when you’re 30. If you do it only on occasion and look after yourself the rest of the time (taking vitamin E for skin, not smoking, using sun block etc) then you will preserve your skin.
Ohh please! Ofcourse it does,Take a look at some of the celebrities that do it, they all get slated!
And the answer to ” what can i do to keep my youth skin?” try and stop taking drugs and find a natural high please for your own safety and for the people who love you, I dont think they want to see you in an early grave.
they certainly do. x n cocaine def do, meth n heroin being worse.
after you binge, and your feeling your tuesday blues which i know you will be, force feed your body vitamins, water, n good food, you lose a lot of valuable nutrients when you do that stuff because your body quicks working properly for a while.
get enough sleep afterwards and don’t become addicted, keep the uses spread out ex damages the mind much more than the body and shouldn’t be done more than once every three months in my opinion and not more than 6 times overall thats how i’ve done it and i do feel a permanent change within me looking back in retrospect because of it.
you make sacrifices and reap consequences for choosing to have the pleasures of the high. you should research them and know them before choosing to alter your state of mind. if you want to take them take them willingly and knowing the aftermath don’t take them blindly out of ignorance or peer persuasion.
never did like coke much tho, don’t see how anyone does, 2 short lived you can’t get anything done on it…ex is amazing though.
have fun, take care of your body afterwards, and be safe.
the only drug that won’t age you quicker is herb, even alcohol and cigs are shown to age you.
Amphetamines( speed is a type of amphetamine) can make you look older. “Several years of aging can occur in just a few months.” (http://www.drugtext.org/library/books/recreationaldrugs/amphetamines.htm)
Best way to avoid it is not to indulge in it .Once you get addicted it is very difficult to quit.
Wow, I’ve never been so glad to come across a question as I am now. And I’m more thankful that you haven’t chosen any of these uneducated responders’ as a voice to listen to. My secondary field of study is pharmacology.
To simply answer your question, I’ll give a yes or no to each drug, and then give details and facts to support. Also, for future reference, when you ask about drugs on yahoo answers, specify that you know drugs are bad, and people who are going to just state the obvious need not answer. Because they are just trolls looking for points, while spitting in someone’s face to get them.
Ok, to start, no drug itself will make you older, or ruin your youth. The main reason you see so many pictures of meth heads missing teeth, or having acne like bumps, and deformities, is simply because thanks to their only want being to be high 24/7, they forget that not only do you need to force yourself to eat healthy, take vitamins, and practice normal proper hygeine, but you need step it up a bit if you are going to use hard drugs.
Ecstacy is in no way, shape, or form harmful. I’m talking about pure ecstacy aka mdma (3, 4 – Methylenedioxymethamphetamine). Now to be quite honest, and probably a little information I understand you won’t be happy with, nor is anyone who enjoys the ecstacy tablets they’ve been taking. Any ecstacy in tablet form, even that of which is mass-manufactured in the Netherlands, etc. is not pure ecstacy. If you are extremely lucky, in a 150 – 200 mg ecstacy tablet, there will be a maximum of 20 mg of ecstacy. This amount of ecstacy is virtually not enough to even notice the effects. The ecstacy tablets we all know, are comprised of many chemical combinations ranging from coke, ghb, mda, pma, dex, tryptamines, lsd, ssri’s,maoi’s,pain killers, the list goes on and on.
But, if you head over to your local vitamin shop, and pick up a bottle or two of 5-htp, that annoying depressed comedown will be mostly to completely reduced. 5-htp is the second step in the serotonergic construction. Basically, tryptophan is converted into 5 – htp then into serotonin. Ecstacy works by causing your brain to secrete a massive amount of serotonin at once, while then blocking the reabsorption of tryptophan for up to a week after ingestion. So the depressed feeling when coming down, or even a few days after is actually the serotonergic imbalance. Taking 5-htp allows you to reuptake serotonin, because it skips the tryptophan process, thereby balancing your neurochemicals. Take one to two 5-htp tablets 6 hours after consuming ecstacy, and one to two 8 – 12 hours later, and if you find that it helps you maintain a good mood you can take the stuff daily. It’s a supplement, not any form of prescription medicine or anything.
Beside’s the worst ecstacy could do to harm you is cause serotonin imbalance aka Serotonin Syndrome. All testing so far on humans has shown a complete or near complete recovery of any damaged serotonin transmitters anyway. And most prescription drugs such as SSRI’s (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), MAOI’s (monoamine oxidase inhibitors), analgesic pain killers, synthetic opiates, and other drugs that alter or trick your neuro-processes, have a way higher chance of causing serotonin syndrome than ecstacy.
Ok, moving on to cocaine. And like Rick Jame’s is famous for saying, “Cocaine is a hell of a drug”. Haha, it’s funny, because now you know how ecstacy works, but cocaine is basically a powerhouse compared to ecstacy. Cocaine works by literally blockading your serotonergic, dopaminergic, and noreprinephrine systems. Increases blood pressure, heart rate, dilates pupils (as does ecstacy). Now, here again, a multivitamin, not abusing cocaine (meaning if you do it once a weekend, you are better off cutting that back to once a month), and brushing your teeth, flossing, showering, often, basically making sure to take care of yourself a little more than just the normal routine.
Heroin doesn’t really make you age faster, unless you super abuse it. As well as methamphetamine. Methamphetamine use would mean you’d need to take a decent amount of vitamin C, because it gets depleted harshly. So by drinking healthy, eating healthy. Getting a little more than the minimal required vitamins, and again, taking a supplement instead of prescription meds, as well as moderating use will leave you at minimal risk. Now if you binge on meth, and go for weeks without sleeping or taking care of yourself, and just re-upping the high when you start to come down, etc. Then you will start to look unkempt, etc.
Alcohol, moderate, don’t drink til you throw up, as that deteriorates teeth. Don’t binge, don’t overuse, don’t take on empty stomache. Most of all, don’t drive drunk. If you maintain a very healthy lifestyle, as well as a job, and aren’t the stereotypical drug user, the only thing you have to worry about is getting arrested. Which eventually after too many close calls, or when you really have
