Question by Unguardian: Has anyone ever gotten rid of their porn addiction as a teen by themselves?
If you have, how hard was it. im 16 and im trying to get rid of it and not let anyone find out about it. i’ve had it since i was 13.

Yes man. and its easy. Fall in love. When your in love, you wont even think about stupid smut like that.
Its hard. Very hard. It is something a have personally had problems with. I would recommend praying or mediation when you get your urges. Another thing you have to do is destroy all your porn (mags, movies etc)and delete all your bookmarks and porn related computer files. As weird as it sounds, It does help if you tell someone you trust and have them monitor your progress. (that person can be God if you are a believer, he will help you) BTW, your parents would be a bad idea as this person, I would recommend a very close friend or an adult that you trust.
lol you are a teen, you have hormones. don’t worry about it. i started masturbating @ 13 and watching porn @ 15 (A LOT). now i am 19yr old and i had seriously decreased, nearly stopped, such habits for a while, maybe several months. point is, you are a teen, it’s normal, no?
dont think of urself as an addict. you need some libidinal outlet…
How to avoid porn addiction on the Internet
1. Consider installing porn content filtering software( Strongly Recommend NetDog ,you can get it from http://www.netdogsoft.com ) on your computer. it will help to protect you from stumbling into pornography by accident, That’s important.
2. Do not try to guess what the address of a Web page is. Many pornographic sites have similar addresses of respectable sites. For example www . whitehouse . com is a porn site. The real address is www. whitehouse . gov
3. Never click on Web site addresses that you receive in an unsolicited email.
4. Do not open attachments that come in email that are unsolicited.
5. Use filtered search engines or reputable directories to find the information you need.
6. Do not search for terms like girls. Think before you enter a search term.
Stick with reputable sites.
If something looks questionable, don’t let curiosity get the best of you. Delete it or close the window.

There’s not a great deal you can do except try and curb your addiction. Having sexual urges is a natural thing and certainly nothing that you feel should be oppressed. Often I think you’ll find the more you attempt to ignore your sexual inclinations the more intensified they’ll become. By this stage, sex is on your mind 24/7 and it begins to detract from your ability to stay focused on one or more important day-to-day tasks. My point is, don’t stop watching porn altogether.
