Question by melandlen: Have you or do you know anyone who has lost a child from an ecstasy overdose?
My 16 year old son passed away in January of this year. I am trying to gather as much information as I can. I know I cannot be the only parent to lose a child from this drug. I am trying to have the High Schools do more programs in the schools about drugs, and their dangers. I need to prove that it is not rare.

im so sorry for your loss.
i know the pain cannot compare to that of losing a son, but 2 years ago i lost my friend to ecstacy. he was a regular user of the drug, and thought he could take as much as he wanted and be fine. one night he took about 10 pills, and drunk lots of beer. he was ok at first, but then started to talk funny, like a caveman sort of. he ended up collapsing on the floor, and everyone was trying to get him to drink water. he was still concious, but barely. somehow his nose or lip got burst, and he was swallowing and choking on his own blood. someone went and got his dad, who took him to hospital. he later pased away. that is my worsed memory, and i wish so much that i could changed what happened that day.
good luck with your work.
