Question by equestrian: How do you feel about teen drinking?
Not necessarily binge drinking or alcoholic teens, I’m talking about when a few teenagers get together and have a few drinks at a sleepover?

It is a bad idea, a huge no-no. This is a horrible idea. I don’t think it is good for anyone to drink, but especially not teens. It is illegal. And there is a reason for it being illegal. And don’t forget dangerous. Or stupid. Hopefully you feel the same way. What is the point in drinking!?? If you are really thirsty get some water!! Think of all the pros and cons of this stupid decision. I will help you list them so you don’t have to do them yourself…
Pros
-I guess you might think you are getting more poopular.
-I guess you might think you are getting cooler.
Cons
-Your teeth will yellow.
-You might get drunk.
-It is illegal- and there may be consequences by law.
-You’re a bad example for your younger siblings/relatives.
-Shows your irresponsible.
-Hung over in the morning.
-You will get smelly breath. (Ew. Who wants that?)
-If you get really drunk, you might have to go to the hospital.
-In many cases, people have gotten drunk, and then fell asleep and threw up and kept sleeping, and then died by being choked with their own throw-up, but still sleeping. It is very dangerous.
- When you are drunk, you don’t know what is happening, something bad may happen, if you’re with a guy, you never know what he will do with you while you are vulnerable and drunk.
As you can see, there are way more cons than there are pros, so it is not good and not worth the trouble. I hope I convinced you so you will stay healthy!!

Stupid & illegal.
I think it’s stupid and incredibly dangerous, because a few drinks can turn into binge drinking.

I’m not going to lie I’m 15 and I’ve done it,but I don’t think it should be an everyday affair.

in the country i used to live in,teens could drink at 16.it was nice cuz teens learned responsibility at a younger age than waiting til 21 to go crazy and get wasted

A teenager’s body is NOT adult. It cannot handle alcohol the same way that an adult’s can. Please, teenager’s brains are not developed enough to understand limits and consequences. It’s a scientific fact.

I feel that it is wrong for teengers to be drinking even at a sleepover.
That’s tough because nowadays they’re sending these teens to go fight ina war, but they get hassled over some drinking… I can’t really say that I disagree with it if there is adult supervision. It’s only fair, I mean these kids are dying in Iraq and they can’t have a beer?????

i drank until i blacked out from the very first time to the very last time 26 years later.

Fun stuff! The last time i drank was the last day of school and couple of my friends came over and i got into my parents alcohol and we got some strawberry vodka (YUMMY!) and some regular vodka and put it with some vitamin water lol then we made some strawberry daquiris. Noone got drunk tho lol just a lil tipsy. haha

depends on their age, if there are adults around, what kind of alcohol….all that kind of stuff. No matter what it’s still illegal, but if they are just home hanging out and have a beer i don’t think there’s a problem with it. As long as the parents of all the teens know about it, if not someone would be hearing about it. Contributing to minors is a pretty big deal.
I don’t really mind how many hands down I get.
I really don’t feel like anybody, of any age should drink.
It’s just a health hazard. I don’t think teenagers should drink, because it’ll start with just a few drinks, and then they’ll just drink and drink from then on.

Not bad. Its cool with a couple friends but I’d say not at parties because people could get wrecked. Don’t Booze-It-Up to badly though because dying of alcohol poisoning is not good.
I don’t drink, but I can say that alcohol is bad news. There are other ways to have fun.

I dont find it horrible or anything. Its not that bad. But it can become a problem. ALLOT of teens drink or smoke pot. but too much aint good
Well yesterday at 12 am my neighbors bestfriend was drinking and driving and hit a gardrail and died and was w/ her x bf and he is in critical condition with a broken neck….so… that says alot…

Personally I think that it is unnecessary, that teens and young people try too hard to grow up too quickly. I think more young people need to realize that it is possible to have a really good time with your friends without adding alcohol into the mix. It just causes trouble.
I also think that any parent who allows their child to serve alcohol to their minor friends is totally irresponsible and should be reported. Allowing minors to consume alcohol is illegal in a lot of places.
I personally believe that alot of american laws are ludicrous… I see no problem with a few drinks done responsibly.. I lived in Germany for a while when i was in the Army and i saw teenagers drinking wine and beer many times.. They didn’t get out of control like american kids because they were raised to think it isn’t such a big deal.. Than again even though some of our laws are stupid, they still are laws.. So drink at your own risk..
I think people who drink are idiots. I think it’s okay once in a while, but not enough to get drunk.
But I also think drinking age should be 18 instead of 21. 18-year olds can join the army and kill people but they’re not allowed to have a drink of beer. How ridiculous is that? I think war should be illegal.
