Question by reedfromtn: is a house that had a meth lab in it safe to live in?
I am looking into buying a house that used to have a meth lab. I have two children ages 6 and 4. I am concerned with the health affect of any lingering toxins.

why risk it
it can kill your kids and you . these house should be condemmed. there should be laws about renting or selling this property.
NO WAY!!! My ex husband is a narcotic officer they condem most places or there has to be extensive cleaning….there is no way I would risk my babies…if I were you I would do some more research on it before I would buy.
NO its not safe. Unless it has been cleaned by proffesionals that do that special work. And its not safe for you to clean either. You have to wear special clothes and mask to clean it with. Husband works for a drug rehab company. That stuff could be in the cracks of the floors or in the cracks of the kitchen cabinets. All the carpets need to be taken up and new put in also.
My advice is find another home that you know is safe for your kids.
The simple answer is NO!
