Question by Willy288228: Is Obama promoting alcoholism to our children with his beer meeting?
His message is that alcohol solves problems. There are children who are abused by alcoholics. Does this tell that poor child that it is not the alcoholic parents fault, but their fault. If the President says alcohol is a good thing and can solve problems then it can’t be bad. He is also saying that drunk driving is fine.. This is terrible…

I’m sorry, but do you know how ridiculous America’s preoccupation with “protecting” the youth is?

The United States has the worst abuse of alcohol at the teen and college levels of any other industrialized nation… and you know what, we’re also one of the only ones with a strict drinking age… Any idea why? Also, any idea why people DRANK MORE during prohibition than before alcohol was illegal?

If you want your children to go and drink, then keep looking at it from your puritanical way, instead of having a rational and intellectual discussion on the pros and cons of alcohol with them, and acting as a moral guide to their innate curiosity…. but no, better we simply forbid anyone from ever mentioning beer again… that’ll stop our kids from drinking!!!… not like they would ever find out about it from another source!!!

Obama invited them for “a beer.” Not two beers, not five beers, not a kegger.. a beer… and you can legally drive in every single state in the union with “a beer” in your system. But yes, somehow this is the president advocating alcoholism, drunk driving, and, as long as we’re exaggerating the facts, he’s probably trying to get us all to kill babies, drink blood and rape farm animals.

just ridiculous the things people say…
