Question by ap0258x: Kids exposed to sex at an early age leading to sex addiction later on in life?
If a child is exposed to sex (touching opposite sex’s genitals..etc) at an early age (6-8), does that lead to addiction to sex later on in life? does sex become a necessity? Doing personal research for psychology work for school. thanks!

I think it might damage them a bit. I’m not sure though.

I don’t think there would be any correlation. Although sometimes if a child is a victim of sexual abuse, he/she will act out sexually at a later age.
I haven’t heard of any such studies, so good luck and I hope you find an answer.
well i started to have sex at 13 and i was addicted later on me and mt boyfriend have sex all the tme.but i do beleave that they would become addicted unless you block them offf from the oppisate sex forever but ithe answer is yes.
Well,,, this is a problem. Some people will have an aversion to the behavior. Some theory’s say that it will lead to a sexual perversion. Remember there is no set theory on human behavior. Some people will avoid the hurtful act, some will replicate it. Read allot , learn allot and most of all trust your gut
well i had parents that left the dirty videos in the vcr so i seen pornos at the age of 4….im 25 now…i own seven pornos and surf for them on the web every now and then…um i only had sex one time only because i got drunk ..i wanted to stay a virgin till i was married but hey…i dont have any desire to have sex its weird i guess
i have a friend who was sexually assault at 2 by her older brother and her reproductive system and mental state was severly damaged…..recently as 2 years ago she became sexually active and that girl lost her damn mind having sex w/ any and everyone
The longer childen can be allowed to be children the better off they are. Whether it is a pedophile or some do gooder, exposure to adult/sexual situations is not good for children. Let kids be kids.
yes, it does. it harms the behavior later in a way or another. I think the best age to know about sex is the age of pubescence. And to know does not mean to experience though. As to experiencing sex at early ages, which you are talking about, it leads to psychological problems. I read so many psychoanalysis books, and I become almost sure as they narrate so many similar cases that sex at early ages is not a good thing as some people believe.
