Question by ChattyPatty#2: LYRICS TO A COLD WAR KIDS SONG i’m wondering what some of them mean..?
the song is “We Used to Vacation” by Cold War Kids, and i know it’s about a man with alcoholism but, there is this one part and i have no idea what he means. any help?? (it’s the lyrics not in parenthesis)

(best recital i had to run
missed my sons graduation)

punched the nickles boy
for taking his seat
he gets all that anger from me.

(still things could be much worse, natural disasters…)

so anyways.. does anyone know what they mean??

it sounds like a guy is talking about how is son is just like him because he gets angry and violent quickly
