Question by Daisy Duke: My boyfriend used to do alot of cocaine, Will we be able to have kids in the future?
He used to do cocaine almost every weekend when we weren’t together for probably close to a year. He hasn’t done it for about 2 years. Will this make it very hard for us to have kids in the future?

No, I don’t think it will be. But are you sure thats who you want as the father of your kids? I mean, if he’s really clean now then by all means, but just make sure you know for sure!

It is hard to say. Some experience fertility issues with drug use but not all. I always heard smoking pot would cause sperm count to be low but my exhusband sure didn’t have that problem even with smoking it all the time right before we got together because 3 months into our relationship I got pregnant with our first son and he already had two kids before that and now he is having a 5th child with his new girlfriend so the Pot didn’t affect him any.
Well I guess it depends.. My husband has done tons and tons of different drugs before we met and he did them all the time.. And our first try I got pregnant..So I guess it just depends on the person.
it will have no effect on his future children
cocaine is only in the system 24 hours
It may effect his seratonin it may be totally depleted and he will suffer from depression and mood swings
but not his sperm
I found several sources that said that cocaine stays in your system for up to 72 hours, but the by-product of it, benzoylecgonine, stays in your system for up to 30 days. After 2 years, he should be clean.
no, soft drugs like cocaine and weed have no effect on sperm count. its unconfirmed if harder drugs like meth and heroin can effect sperm count though.
also don’t think of him as a bad person. cocaine is relatively harmless and all types of people take it knowing its not that bad, even nice people and good fathers. don’t believe everything you heard about drugs from Nixon, or anything you heard from him.
my husband and i both used to be hard core drug users (a long long time ago) and we nw have 4 very smart children so yes, you can still get pregnant, no worries
