Pot Sellers Don’t Care About The Welfare Of The Users Video. Public Service Announcement video. Courtesy of wwww.abovetheinfluence.com People who smoked marijuana had changes in the blood flow in their brains even after a month of not smoking, according to a study published in the February 8 issue of Neurology, the scientific journal of the American Academy of Neurology. The findings could explain in part the problems with thinking or remembering found in other studies of marijuana users, according to study authors Ronald Herning, PhD, and Jean Lud Cadet, MD, of the National Institute on Drug Abuse in Baltimore, Md. The study involved 54 marijuana users and 18 control subjects. The marijuana users volunteered to take part in a month-long inpatient program. The blood flow velocity in brain arteries was tested with transcranial Doppler sonography in all participants at the beginning of the study and again at the end of the month for the marijuana users. The blood flow velocity was significantly higher in the marijuana users than in the control subjects, both at the beginning of the study and after a month of abstinence from marijuana use. The marijuana users also had higher values on the pulsatility index (PI), which measures the amount of resistance to blood flow. This is thought to be due to narrowing of the blood vessels that occurs when the circulation system’s ability to regulate itself is impaired. “The marijuana users had PI values that were somewhat higher than

Question by Widgi: What have Drugs done to my friend?
I have known my best friend since childhood and she always was really outgoing and happy. However, when she was in her teens she started to take a lot ecstasy, which lasted over a period of nearly three years. Now she is in her mid twenties and although she has stopped taking the drug, she just isn’t the same happy out going person she used to be when we where younger. Now she seems quite depressed, introverted and basically is a different person. She is aware that her mental health has deteriorated but says she isn’t sure why but she just feels different. Could the long-term use of ecstasy cause such a change in personality? And are there any medical tests that could be taken to show if the drug has affected her mental health?

Sorry to hear about your friend, but it is very true that drugs distroy a persons life. I have a friend (Like you) that once THOUGHT he was going to be robbed one night, and he has never been the Outgoing Normal person since…Since his Doctor/quack, told him to take these drugs ….Its a sad and long story, kinda like yours…
It realy sickens me that people think a drug will help them. And that the Drug companys are ALWAYS pushing drugs on normal everyday people.
When I get depressed about something, the last thing I want is a DRUG company telling me to Take this pill. Ah, no, I know how to deal with it, take your pill and shove it up your ass!

Teen speaks about the dangers of drug addiction, how she became involved in consuming and selling drugs, and her path to recovery. Did you know that most teens don’t use drugs? In fact, NIDAs latest survey that measures drug use and attitudes about drug use among high school teens shows a long-term decline in cigarette smoking, alcohol, marijuana and some other drugs. However, we are seeing a high rate of prescription drug abuse among teens. Last year, nearly one in ten high school seniors reported nonmedical use of Vicodin and one in twenty reported abusing Oxycontin, both potentially addictive opioid painkillers. Just because its prescribed by a doctor doesnt mean its not dangerous, and people should only use these drugs the way the doctor recommends. The biggest problem of drug use with teens is that there is no way to know who will become addicted. If you take the risk and try drugs, your life could become very complicated. Question by true_sagg: is it better for the kids to be raised by their alcoholic dad?
is it better to have kids raised by their mother and alcoholic father or is it better for the father to be outside of the home and raise them from “afar”. THis is for 2 boys.
details are he only has a job cuz child support for his other 2 kids threaten him with jail and he provides no financial support at all for my 2. About once a week my 3yr and 6month old get to experience one of his drunken tirads. He drinks before and after work. Has his 3rd DUI so he can’t drive our kids anywhere..lives with his mother rent free. Guilt-trips everyone and everything is everyone elses fault. The typical alcoholic.

Well it really depends on the family. If the only the dad needs help, the second option would be best, but if the mother/father are in therapy, it might be okay for the two to raise the kids together.

Question by Harry Beiber, Marriage Psychic: How can I replace my sex addiction with just a plain, ordinary porn or alcohol addiction?
I really have no vices, except, after my wife had an affair a few years ago, I decided to do the same, except I can’t stop. These women feed my ego by telling me how good-looking, “big” and good in bed I am, and they are better than my wife in practically every way except I wouldn’t want anyone else to be the mother of my kids, 12 and 9.

Anyway, I want to trade in this sex addiction for some other, more accepted addiction. Suggestions?
