Yeah. Good to know your hard-earned tax dollars are being spent wisely isn’t it? Probably costs 2 or 3 grand every time the cops bust some kid for smoking a pinch of leaf and the judge lets them off with Another warning (or worse; locks up an impressionable kid with a bunch of hard-core crims).
As for bombing empty sand dunes; ask the bankers and tycoons who own the armaments industry what they think. Ever hear them complain about it?
@crocfme Oh and all the other really useful, productive things like research and development of non-manned Predator drones so we can bomb the shit out of some mountains and sand dunes in a country that at this point has got to be 50% bomb holes. Really useful and clearly is helping us to “win” the war on “terror”. If only we could bomb some more mountains where terrorists may or may not be hiding we’d have this thing won in only a couple more decades, maybe a century or 2
@crocfme haha yeah, my favorites are the “wars on non-localized, vaguely all-encompassing concepts” like the war on terror/drugs. Like either of those things is a “winnable” war, fighting a single entity like “terror” and all drugs ever made. We’re really gonna win those and eliminate all terror/drugs once we spend a few hundred trillion more $ of taxpayer money doing really useful things like hiring more cops to arrest teenagers smoking a few joints or making more anti-drug ads…

This is stupid..so if a guy is selling drugs since he was in middle school, and gets busted later on in life, guess what hes gonna try to do in prison…SELL DRUGS, he has the connection, he knows the ways…so this has nothing to do with the war on drugs, if thats all he knows how to do, thats what he will so even in prison
i say, make marijuana legal, enforce the border for cartel drugs, and stop spending so much money on this war on drugs

and under staffed…if they really saw it as a money maker, they would make walmart prisons…super big with many prison guards, but as it is its not true

@odom602 that don’t necessarily mean they are there for strictly marijuana, I’m sure all of them there have used alcohol too, yet nobody is gunning to make that illegal… as being depressed about it, you have to understand that the American society takes the approach to smoking a god given plant as evil, Most people whether they believe it or not that smoke herb have this sense of shame, drilled into their heads since birth that mj is somehow morally wrong, when it’s no different than drinking
@jakobdrewaut I do know people that smoke weed, lol I’m surrounded by them every day, as a matter of fact, they are all I know, and the only pot heads that get crazy are the ones that have crazy stuff going on long before pot, depression just from smoking weed? come on, herb is MY antidepressant, as well as my medication for PTSD,… I’m sure there are a lot of people in mental institutes that have smoked marijuana, more than half the country has at one point.
