Question by Pura Vida: Ecstasy during first trimester scared!?
Im 19 in good physical shape and just found out i am about 12 weeks pregnant 4 days ago i did 3 ecstasy pills and smoked about 5 cigarettes in one night (i hadn’t done anything drinking, smoking, rolling, in about 5 months after i kinda was trapped in the party scene) i’m going to tell my doctor but in the meantime i would just like to know and get some info on whether my baby should be okay?

i do not plan on doing anything else during the rest of this pregnancy as the health and safety of this child is very important to me.

Don’t panic!

Just be sure to stop any drugs now. Many women drink, smoke, or do drugs before they find out they are pregnant and stop as soon as they find out and the baby turns out fine.

Extended drug and smoking while pregnant is likely to harm the baby. One night of smoking and drug use, while unsafe, is less likely to have a major effect.
