Question by HOtty!: my friend is talking about killing herself?
She has a really hard life at home yet she lives in a cute small town coronado and everyone is rich but she has a mom who emotionally and physically beats her down routinely. She is the happiest person in school but she is very closed about her home life. I am not a shrink so i have no idea what to say to stop her.We have talked to the school counselour about the abuse and the child services got involved but i dont think it helped her very much she just felt more alone because she lives in a tiny apartment and doesnt have many clothes. At home it’s just her mom and her sister but her sister and her mom are very close and her sister tells on her which results in more hitting. She feels alone because whenever she tries to get on her mom’s good side she brings up more problems her daughter needs to fix. Last week she got the semester grade home including an anonymous letter that said she was an alcoholic, pregnant, etc. She tries to tell her mom she hasnt had sex or drank but her mom wont believe her and scheduled doctors appointment for birth control which is very embarrassing for her. I try to encourage her to hang out with me and our friends more but she doesnt see us outside of school very often because of her mom.

Well im only 14 but that sounds like the same problem i have had with 2 of my friends recently. i talked to them and told them all the good things they had in life friends, people who care about them etc. i also asked my mom to try adopting one of them(: But if you maybe tell them all the good things that they have in life they won’t think about that as much.
so i dont know if that helped at all but im sorry about your friend.
Dude tell your parents to talk to her mom. Adults always trust other adults.
ASHLEY I CANT BELIEVE YOU WOULD TELL THE WHOLE WORLD ABOUT MY PROBLEMS WITH MY MOM!!!!!!!!!
jk jk how could child services not have helped you need to tell this girl to come over your house for a few days no matter what her stupid mom says! ugh they are the worst
a. get her to a hospital
b. talk to anyone that might be close to her. see if they are willing to help
c. call the police if she ever says anything like that again. if she tells them what goes on at home then they might be able to call in child protective services.
I know it is hard to hear from your friend that she is being treated unfairly by her mother and if she truly is then I pray you can help her get out of that situation. Talk with your parents to see if they can find out more info from a grownups prospective. Maybe they can talk with her mother.
If she is not having sex then going to the doctors appointment her mom has scheduled will proof it. She should not be scared at all. Sounds to me like something is funny with the story so take a look through it all.
I have a poem called don’t take it out on me on my site below. Take her there to read it. It covers a lot of situations, stories and more!
