because i am straight edge and i live in nj. i want to got to a complete drug-free rave club. and can anyone give me tips about being a rave kid or kandi kid. list everything you know. including music i should listen to. one song i listen to is i know this pretty rave girl.

Best answer:

Answer by Drake
There’s pretty much no such thing… sorry to say. I was really hardcore into the rave scene last year and this year and if you don’t back up all your kandi with the drugs you’re a poser. Also you will NEVER find a completely drug-free rave club. Raves are focused around the drug culture. Music is a lot harder than most people think. I know this pretty rave girl is not a raver/kandi kid song… actually… You need to start listening to real techno and dubstep. Here are some songs to start

Question by Shamrock5: Can you give some reasons why kids should say NO to drugs & alcohol?
I have to do a presentation for a youth program, & I need some tips on how to teach a kid to say NO to drugs & alcohol assertively. Tell me the reasons why kids should say NO. How much trouble it can get them into, how it harms your body & mind, & how it can affect your social relationships with people. And can you give me some useful website links on what drugs look like, the description of them & how harmful they are. Also, I need some YouTube video links on how a person acts when drunk

Best answer:

Answer by Ashley H
Show them a picture of Britney Spears

On a more serious note look at this website they have tons of information and it’s what I’ve used in drug and alcohol speeches:

Question by mountaindew25: Why do some parents give their kids alcohol and/or host parties with alcohol for them and their friends?
How will this keep them from drinking? Anyway, what is so great about drinking? Why do people assume that everyone drinks and try to make teetoatlers feel uncomfortable? It seems like drinking alcohol is like having a loaded gun playing Russian Roulette. Why in the world do people keep pushing alcohol when it is extremely well documented that it destroys lives? Look at the Natalie Holloway case. The parents ONLY let their kids go down there because they wanted their kids to experience the same “rite of passage” that they did. This is ludicrous.

Best answer:

Answer by just me
I think a lot of parents feel that the kids are going to do it anyways, regardless…so they would rather them do it at their own house where they can keep an eye on them…

Question by MissMelissa: My husband says he’s going to give up drinking when we have a child…should I believe in his intention?
My husband drinks quite often, several times a week he has a six pack or more, even by himself. He has told me and his friends numerous times that he’s going to quit when we have a child, on the day that it’s born. We haven’t started trying to conceive yet, but I am wondering if I should really put much stock in this. He said he’d give up using tobacco on the day we got married, and five months later, I caught him using tobacco behind my back. How should I approach this subject? When I explain to him that I have reason to be doubtful, his response is that he’s going to go to Alcoholics Anonymous if he needs to.
The feedback echoes my feelings, overall. I suppose I have a speck of belief in what he says because his father was a drunk, and used to embarrass my husband by showing up at his high school sporting events intoxicated. His father went to AA and cleaned up before my husband graduated, and stayed sober for over 15 years, until he died. My husband holds his late father in the highest regard. I think the only downside he sees to his drinking is that it might be detrimental to his child someday. Having lived through it himself, he asserts that this would be enought to make him want to stop. I’ve never asked him to give up drinking, I’ve only voiced disapproval that he does it so often by himself. His behavior while drinking is a little foolish, but not aggressive, hurtful, or reckless. I guess I have to ask myself if I want a child under these conditions, because it is a big gamble that he would follow through with staying sober, or even cutting back. Thanks for confirming my feelings.

Best answer:

Answer by Clo is back !
That’s a lie, don’t fall for it. You don’t “fix his alcoholism” by having a child. Ask him to “first go the extra mile and go to AA” or do not have children with him ! People don’t change if they live in denial !!

Question by Jane: Should I give this guy a try?
He is my best friend that I’ve known for a very long time. He is 22, and he is extremely charming, intelligent, and romantic in almost every way. He is a great guy…but he does have his faults. I know he is bipolar. He divorced once and fathered two children out of wedlock with women that were much older than him. He’s been through alcohol rehab twice, and he still parties and drinks a lot (though not as much as he used to). He seems to always get with older girls for some reason, and he’s been in so many relationships that he lost track. He admitted to me that he received treatment for syphilis when he was 15.

Do you think we have a chance? Should I give him a try? I’m 27 and I have a feeling that I might just be another girl he hooks up with, but he’s a very open and honest person. He tells me everything, and I tell him everything. He even admitted to me that he has reservations about going out with me because he feels that it would ruin our great friendship.

Answer by ogkmqueen
Wow, it sounds like this guy has some serious baggage. I think it’s great that you’re having feelings for this guy but maybe you should just stay his “best friend”. What if you guys did get together and fell in love and got married. Living with someone who is bipolar isn’t a walk in the park, in fact, it’s very very very hard, and then when you add his children and ex’s into the mix, you’ve got a lot of things that can throw your “love” off track. I would stop and think really hard about this before making any moves.
