It’s great to hear that a woman ends up getting their children back after she’s no longer on drugs or alcohol. The best thing children could have are their mother or father. My question is what do you have to regain custody of your children once you get your life together. I am not on drugs or alcohol, but I see so many woman who are not any addiction lose their children because of abuse (by the husband) or depression. Why is that so? And what can she do to regain custody? Everyone goes through some ups and downs in life.

Best answer:

Answer by langford53
evereybody deserves a second chance, it takes work to get off drugs, and to lead a normal life..so i commend anyone who can do it..

Question by Tom M: How Many adults have children with xbox addictions?
I had to take it away because my 16 year old son is flunking 10 grade? Any suggestions?

Best answer:

Answer by jelena
well… it’s common. and it depends on you.
there’s probably no ratio or percentage out there, but i’d say a good 4:10 families saying that they are financially sound and actually own gaming systems; xboxes, nintendo wii’s, PlayStation’s, etc.
the question here for you is, is it really an addiction?
my suggestions would be to analyze how badly he’s flunking, does he not hang out with his friends, isolate himself all the time, or for periods longer than 4 hours; cause if any of those are really true for him then he’s totally addicted.
even so, being addicted, you should only ban him for short periods of time (a couple of days) and when he’s allowed to play let him for only a short period of time (less than 2 hours, no more) so he doesn’t go out and just play video games at a friends house.
it’s more than just having him being addicted and not letting him play ever ever again, because he might want to start up again on his own, it’s more of gradually getting him to realize he needs to focus on more important, non-virtual matters. like his school work and actually talking to his friends and family. these will always continue to affect his future and life, unlike being a lvl 67 mage.
i hope none of this seems biased, me being a former “addict” or really unclear. feel free to email me, got nothing better to do. jennabon@yahoo.com or jennabon@live.com

What do you think? Answer below!

Question by Hoping he will bless me with #1: Why are so many kids that can walk and talk still sucking on pacifiers and bottles?
Is this the new trend? I am so tired of seeing kids (ages 2, 3 and even 4) trotting around with a bottle and a pacifier a.k.a. “binky” in their mouth. What is up with that? At what age should a child be weaned from these things? I was in Albertson’s and this little girl, obviously 3 or so, was screaming “I want my binky!”. Her mother was explaining that she was going to buy her another one and that she could use it as soon as they left the store. What??? This child had a mouth full of teeth for her age and she could talk and walk as good as any grown woman.

This is definitely NOT the first time that I’ve seen this. Why are so many parents giving in to their kids addiction to the bottle and pacifier at that age? It’s like some people actually get mad if you say something about it. They know it’s abnormal, but they don’t want you to bring it to their attention. I have a relative that allows her 3 year old to suck a bottle full of juice every night.

Weird.
Love Ya – I am sorry, but regardless of the situation, age 4 or 5 is too old for a child to be slurping on a pacifier. Stop making excuses. It’s laziness on behalf of the parent. I can understand that kids need to feel secure but sucking a bottle or pacifier shouldn’t be their security blanket. I am not judging anybody in particular and I don’t need to know any circumstances. It’s not right, period.

Best answer:

Answer by vanessa c
cause parents are slaves to their kids or just plain lazy.

Question by Unforgettable: Why do you think so many teens are using drugs?
Why isn’t parental pressure more effective than peer pressure?

I have a friend who just turned 18. He is on heroin; a very addictive and lethal drug, by far the most dangerous in my opinion. He started experiementing with drugs at the age of 14, starting with marijuana on to different sorts of drugs like mushrooms, acid, meth, cocaine and so on up to heroin. He got addicted to heroin at 16. He is 6’2″ and weighed at 90lbs.. on his near death scale. He started being home schooled because he couldn’t go to school anymore. He recieved some treatment and put some weight on, now weighing at 134 lbs. Anyway, the point of my story is that it is incredibly sad t see so many young faces disappear before getting a taste of an independent life. My friend, for example, is on his way to a young death. He still uses heroin. No one can stop him. He is addicted and craves it.

What can we do to stop this madness? Why are so many teens choosing this route in life? Where are the parents?

Best answer:

Answer by QKey23
Peer pressure or stress its a coping strategy I’m smoking weed right now
