tHAN YOU ONCE AGAIN

Best answer:

Answer by LeahL85
There are plenty of private schools, but unfortunately there are no places you can just stick your kids for free. Boot camps for troubled teens are usually for juvenile delinquents that were sent there by the justice department after being arrested. Maybe she could talk to a social worker.

Question by poindextera: When adding an example to an essay do I need to start a new paragraph?
what if I have more than one example. I need to put in an example of what happens to these families after they leave the recovery home? here is my essay.
Recovery Homes for Woman with Children
One of the biggest challenges facing alcoholic and drug addicted women is what to do with their children when they want help. Many recovery homes require a stay of three to nine months and no accommodations for children. These women often do not have family willing to care for the children during this time. The fathers may have their own substance abuse problems or a history of physical abuse. Women are reluctant to ask for help from social service in fear of never getting their children back. So they continue in their addictions .
There are a handful of these homes and they do much more than treat alcoholism and drug addiction. They provide counseling for mother and child, structure, and teach life skills such as cleaning and food preparation. The added bonus is learning how to parent. Not only do they have parenting classes but the counselors are there to help with day to day parenting problems these mothers face. Many of these children have behavioral problems due to the mother’s substance abuse and receive their own counseling.
The results are wonderful. The mothers are clean and sober, with newfound life and parenting skills. They are confident and have gained much needed self-esteem. They leave with a support system and a new lease on life. The children have their mommy back along with

                                                                                                                                Martin 2
new problem solving skills of their own. Most of all the family has remained together, preventing further trauma to the child. With substance abuse affecting more and more families it is necessary to provide more recovery homes for women and their children.

Word Count: 285 Okay. Great start and great idea for an example essay!! Now, make sure you talk about results. Do you have any specific examples of how this has worked for someone???

Best answer:

Answer by Sħð¢k5ØØØ
well if you have more than one example then start a new paragraph :p

Question by lindyboo: Grandparents badly need financial help raising two baby girls – Any ideas where to turn?
My brother and his wife have been caring for their two granddaughters, ages 3 and 1. Their son is the kids’ father and he’s 20 and unemployed but actively trying to find a job. He is divorcing the mother, who is mentally unstable and recently has been in and out of drug rehab. So there’s no “child support” available from them. My brother’s paycheck is the only income in the house.

My brother & sis-in-law were already struggling financially – barely making it – so now it’s even tougher. I found out yesterday that their water was about to be cut off. They managed to borrow some money to stop that but …. it’s not good. Sis said yesterday she had 4 diapers and not much food. I am sending them a little money but they need something more.

I was told that they can’t get food stamps because they’re not the official -what? Guardians? Custodial caregivers? Would it be an agency like Adoption Services or something? I know I can google but I thought maybe I could get some other advice from some of you guys with any similar experiences??

They adore these girls; we all do (me = proud aunt =) and it’s a strange situation. They did call my sis-in-law “Granna”. Now they’re calling her Mom and they call their real mom something that sounds like “Mutter”.

Best answer:

Answer by Christina
Can the babies father apply for assistance? If he’s not working and is the girls’ official guardian he may be eligible for food stamps for them.

Question by needing help: Ecstasy habit. need to know if i will get better?
i am 18 years old almost 19. i am addicted to ecstasy. i have gotten a lot better though. but i know that i have a serious problem. i know that i need help but i dont have the resources for it at all. my mom died 2 years ago next month and i have been going down hill even more. a few months ago my popping got really bad i was taking about on average 15 ecstasy pillz every day! i am down to only about 10 a week and sometimes just once a week like 3 at a time. but i can tell that my brain is being effected. i no longer can remember the days of the week. ill look at my phone to see what time it is and ill have to look again within like 45 seconds because i cant remember i cant remember things from when i was a child. i am pretty much alone all i have is a few close friends that are all worried sick about me. they all say that i really need to go to rehab, but we cant pay for it. i went to a year of rehab when i was 16 and it clearly didnt help. i have to get off of the computer lol. im straight on one. but i really want to know if my memory will come back. that is really all im worried about.

Best answer:

Answer by charles
only if you stop, 100% and get some help, believe in the help you will get. you cant go in there with a “this will not help mentality”

Question by Z A: Teen! Need help. What should I do?
Lately, I honestly don’t know what do with myself.
1st. I go to a an all-girl’s catholic school. I’m an Athiest. And the school sucks. I also missed the first two weeks and I pretty much caught up in everything, except for French and the French teacher treats me awfully. I get pretty good marks in everything else, yet he continues to treat me like I’m worthless.

2nd. I don’t have any friends. And all the girls at my school are ridiclously stupid or cruel. I spend all my Friday’s and Saturday’s alone.

3rd. I’m a teen – which is hard enough. I have thousands of self esteem issues. I used to binge and hurt myself, ect.

4th. My parents are divorced. It was recent. They fight everyday. They mostly got divorced because of me – after I was born their marriage fell apart. And they become in debt.

5th. My mom is a cheater, she also cheating on my dad. My father is cruel to me a lot, and is very cold.

6th. Everday single day, my sister insults me. She says I’m going nowhere and that all her friends think I’m out of control. She harrases me to the point of tear.

7th. My brother doesn’t really talk to me much. I also have the most dysfuctional family in the world (the cops once came to our hose.)

8th. I have no aspirations or hobbies anymore. ANYTHING i used to like I hate now.

9. I always feel empty. I hate what I’ve turned in to.

Basically, I’m so sick of everything. I need advice bad. What should I do?
I don’t feel comfortable with the conseulor. And none of the teachers particulary like me, nor do i feel comfortable with them.

Answer by Andrew
Your school should have a counselor who can better help you with this stuff than someone over the internet can.

Answer by iampatsajak
I think you should speak with social services. Don’t you think it would be better for the children to be with a foster family for a short time then to be living in a drug rehab?

You need to focus on yourself right now. (or she does)

I see no reason why you would lose your children if you were seeking out help.

Question by Mr Mom: Need Advice for getting Custody of my Son?
Alright, this is a pretty specific question so im hoping to get some specific advice.
I am 27 years old, I have no job (but have joined job classes and expect to see results soon) and have no place, also something I expect to resolve soon with the help of my fiance.

I have a 3 year old son with my ex girlfriend, who now lives 60+ miles away. Our relationship was never serious, and unfortunately when she became pregnant she didn’t want to give up her drug habits (Methamphetamine, alcohol, and marijuana.

Our son was born June 10th T.H.C Positive, and when I thought CPS would take him away they didn’t. Nothing happened, When we went home (which was my mothers due to my shortcomings) I was left to care for him in the first 18 months of his life. Medically, developmentally, the whole nine yards, while she continued to go get high. She would bring her druggie friends home and show off her baby without taking any of the responsibility.

I became fed up and told her to quit her drug use or leave. She left to her mothers (5 miles away) and Took my son with her. We had worked out visitations where I see him every weekend, and we grudgingly exchanged him until he was 2 years old.
A month before my sons 2nd birthday I met my current fiance, and here is where things get specific.

My sons mother was furious that I was allowing my fiance to meet my son. and quickly refused visitations. My fiance then confronted my sons mother in an attempt to set things right, and in an effort not to seem unreasonable, forged a friendship with my fiance. In the months that followed my fiance convinced her to let me see my son every other week, one week at a time.
During this time I myself hypocritically had a problem with marijuana addiction. My fiance cleaned me up, and we’ve now moved out and plan to marry in the near future.
She is attending nursing school and I am staying with my sister, job hunting, and trying to make a step up to stand on my feet.

My ex however, refused me visitations to him the minute we moved out of the area. She has since, found a boyfriend, become pregnant again and is plainly neglecting my son.

She is still using drugs (although I have no proof), the boyfriend she is with is also using drugs, has an alcoholics anonymous tattoo and has gone to jail for violent and drug related charges. My ex also has a 8year old daughter that was seized by CPS for sexual molestation, they skirted around getting her fully taken away by signing parental rights over to her mother (who is disabled, on medical marijuana, has an ex husband who is currently running from the law, and a current boyfriend who is in prison for robbery.)

With all the obvious neglect, bad influences, dangerous situations, and whatnot, what are my chances of getting sole custody of my son? Again I have no home of my own, and no job to date. I have virtually no income and as of now I can’t see my son. (was lucky enough to get a visit in the last three weeks which ended in my ex’s mothers, ex husband threatening to kill my son if I try to see him. )

Theres no established custody other than that my son carries my last name. I realize that once you get into legalities you have to face child support, I have no way to pay but would happily give ll the money I could earn just to see him in a happier situation.

What are my chances, what can I do? Again I know this question is a lot of he. she, they, and a lot of twists, but Im at the end of my rope and am using yahoo as a last ditch effort to reclaim some sort of hold on my situation.

Ive called the narcotics unit on them for the GIANT marijuana crop they have, and that went nowhere (thanks to my ex’s mothers medical license) Ive called CPS to let them know about the type of people that my son is subject to, the neglect history and his mothers habits, and that also has gone nowhere.

In fact, CPS has flat out stated they won’t do anything about it, even when I called them to report signs of neglect (like not sending him with a change of clothes, diapers (because nobody has tried to potty train him), or taking him to the hospital when he becomes ill.

Best answer:

Answer by MandaLoo
I’m not sure about the custody issues, but if someone has threatened the life of your son for ANY reason, it needs to be reported to the police. Do what you can with what you have and never stop fighting for him. He needs to be out of that environment!
