Question by bustitbaby949: How does this story idea sound? Involves rehab, drugs, sex, etc?
I just thought of it last night so I don’t have too many details.

It would be about a troubled teen (16-18) that is forced to go to rehab.
She drinks, does meth and cuts
The rehab is specifically for younger people (below age 21)
She meets a girl there that is anorexic.
At first they dislike eachother, not understanding eachother’s problems
They develop a friendship then, a relationship

I’m not sure what to do after that. I know something exciting or unexpected has to happen, I just don’t know what yet.

I have read books involving lesbians and books involving drugs/rehab. But never one with both, so I thought I might try to write one. I would research the drugs and everything. :)

Ideas? Does it sound stupid?

I think it sounds like the kind of thing a lot of people read nowadays. Not my cup of tea, I grant you, but my sister in law goes crackers for books like this. She likes that kind of stark modern drama. Yeah. She’s cool.

I used crystal meth seven years ago and at that time told my mom about it. She reacted and threw me out of one of the houses that I lived in that she owned. I partied 99percent of the time outside the house. She has her story I am have mine but thebottom line is ‘you don’t put your kid out onto the street’ ..right? My life was well rounded but not from her perspective. For the last seven years I’ve been pushed in and out of recovery because of being homeless. I wish she could see that it belongs in me and all the preasure she pugts on me go help me is not a good thing to do.

i’m sorry but the old “you don’t put your kid onto the street” doesn’t apply in all cases! i would not sit there and let my kid live under my roof while knowing they were an addict. it’s not her responsibility to support you through it, you need to get your stuff together and stop expecting her to take care of you. maybe if you went through rehab and showed that you are looking to get your life together, she’ll let you come back.

and stop with the excuses. all the pressure it puts on me, she put me in the street. YOU are responsible for yourself. you don’t think having an addict child puts pressure on her. stop playing the victim!

When I say Rehab I don’t mean drugs wise. Me and this boy we was cool and we kind of form a relationship .He was my basically my boyfriend being young me and his sister was best friends . My ”other friends” was having feeling for him so I kind of bagged back . By this time i was 15 he was acting weird as if I wasn’t nothing to him . We felt out so we started to talk again .Just out the blue I told him how i was feeling so his sister got mad at me too we stop talking period .Now I tired to get friendship back but wasn’t happening . Last week he text me saying he love me and he want me but i see he have a girl and can’t accept the feeling that i have for him …Please help

my friend told that he saw her 2 years ago passed out in a club in ny because she did to much coke and alcohol i don’t know if this true but
if she did covered it up with the ed clime? iCan see why she is idolized by millions of kids and she needs to keep her image you know? and they say that the rehab center she went to does not treat ed?? if any body have some facts about this feel free to answer.

My brother has a really bad problem with drugs…He has recently told my mom that he would like to be admitted to a rehab facility, but is worried he will get his kids taken away…2 of their mothers are not around and would most likely not take custody..But, if they did would he be able to get them back once he was done with rehab?

Does anyone have any info on that situation..? What would happen to the kids? Thanks!

Going to rehab is always the best answer. It is in the best interest of the children. If he keeps on like he is he will loose the children for good. Let family help with this

My friend was put in rehab for cocaine and when I went visit him today (We are both 16) I asked him what it was like and he said “It’s like D.A.R.E. we all sit in a circle and they say ‘Don’t do drugs kids!’ you know just in case we forgot what we’re in here for.” and I asked him if he was okay and he just made a joke about the food. He will not take this seriously do you think he’ll get anything out of this?

Doubtful. Few do, especially when forced to attend.

The two main factors in quitting drugs and/or alcohol are motivation and determination, without them, he’s taking up space.
