Question by sweetangel_lovable: What if you suspect your hubby is cheating in rehab?
OK, my husband is in rehab for alcohol and has been for a few weeks now. Things were going good when i went up to visit him. Then this past week he seems distant. I am pregnant and just feel blah as it is being so close to my due date. I was upset by him being so distant and more then happy to be there. Which he hated it until 4 days ago. I asked him if he found a girl up there and he was like “you are crazy” but in that weird not telling the truth voice. I just don;t know if I am parnoid or what. I don’t know how rehab works on seperating people so that they don;t have affairs. So if anyone knows the policies or if htere are ways for people to cheat in rehab I would love to hear also do you think he is cheating or am I just paraniod.

Well let me tell you, we have some crazy moods when we are pregnant. It can be that you are almost due, and your hormones are changing. But talk to him, tell him to be honest

no one knows but him , dont asume anything with out proof, its hard to go through any rehab, maybe he just is having a bad time with it
Where there is a will there is a way. However, alot of people on here are going to say he is cheating. We don’t know that. Neither do you. That is why your asking. Remember, he is in rehab because he had an addiction. Now that the ETOH has been cut off, he is going to have physcological changes including both physical and mental withdrawal. Try not to jump to conclusions until you have hard facts.
usually they do seperate genders in rehab. but they can sneak around and have an affair, but if they do they’ll get kicked out (some facilities have different policies). but your husband also may seem distant because he’s having a hard time. he might be feeling alone and scared and of course he doesn’t want to let his guard down and tell you that. give it time and see if it gets better. don’t stress because you need to stay in good health for your baby. things will work out.
First of all i am glad you are in rehab. It sounds like you need marriage counseling and to ask him where he is coming from? He may not be cheating and this may be partly hormones and feeling down about things and your marriage but it also may not be…. What signs is he showing is he treating you any differently and acting strangly? try to write to him and call him and visit him whevever it is allowed. Let him know how much you love and are supportive of him and are proud of him for doing this. Be the loving and supportive wife you need to be. He may very well be happy being there because he is getting the help he needs and he feels better about himself and what is happening in his life and he is talking with people that can relate to what he is going through and understand him. Ask them there what the policies are and see what they tell you. I doubt he is cheating though. I dont think they are trying to push him away from you at all. They just want him to get better and change before coming home to you!
