Nicole: in for the same and has an eating disorder
Britney: went from popstar to fucked up in the head
Lindsey: been to rehab in/out for a long ass time, and has been given alcohol while under 21
Why do young girls idolize this trash we call celebrities?

I’m a girl and I don’t idolise them.
They have a lot of money, but that’s about the only good thing going for them, because they all have messed up, unhappy lives, and all of them are in and out of rehab (except for Paris).
I think Paris is alright though. But I don’t idolise her.

Probably for the same reason teenage boys follow loser musicians on crack. Young kids are attracted to losers.

They ARE trash! I don’t care how much money they got, they are trashy!

Did you ever notice that magazine racks in supermarkets and stores are at eye level for young girls (14 to 17 years old). They are constantly bombarded by the glam rags and television telling them they need to be like these girls to get attention.
Because the media just won’t frickin’ stop reporting about them!
I wish I knew so that I could keep my daughters from idolizing these trashy girls. Thank God they are too young to know who they are (6 & 8). Yes, I have asked them and they have no clue.
Hopefully, I am doing my job as a mother so that they will see that there is more to life than being famous. Particularly, when you are famous for nothing than being a nasty tramp.
So many uneducated (aka ignorant) girls out there. Why study when you can aspire to be a brainless tart?
Tea, keep your girls focused on important tasks and learning new skills. Once you have some skills and esteem under your belt there is no way you could possibly admire dips like that. Sadly there will be more to follow so don’t think your girls will be in the clear…at least my daughter had the good sense to admire someone like Avril Lavigne and Hillary Duff in her pre-teen years.
