Question by SusieQ: Why the deal with naming kids after alcoholic drinks?
It seems in the last 10 years, there are so many parents naming their kids after alcoholic drinks. I don’t get it!! Today, I visited a school and had in my class children with the names of Dakari (pronounced Daiquiri), Evan Williams, and Taquila (pronounced Tequila). These poor kids! Right now, they are in first grade, but sooner or later, they will figure out what they are named after.

i promised my brother, daniel, i’d give my son his name as the middle name. I LOOOOVED the name Jackson and call him “jack” but obviously changed my mind when I realized wow, really? Jack Daniel? NO so we named him Christian Daniel. lol
it’s ignorant to name a child after alcohol. period.
Dude, you’re on this site. Look at what these little girls are pretending to name children… misspellings, made up names… its completely ridiculous. Give your child a normal name and it will be unique when they grow up lol!
some alcoholic drinks have other meanings, Midori for example means green in japanese, I think it’s very pretty but wouldn’t use it because now it’s an alcoholic drink, I did know a girl with that name and she was never teased about it! sometimes it is a problem but sometimes I don’t think it’s so bad, it depends on the name.
ya thats sad! you also hear Brandi alot to which is a drink! some drunk parents are just to desperate for a drink sometimes
